Subject:Church vs. State

After the recent US Supreme Court presentation, the question has again raised its ugly head.

  • Should the US government or any government sponsor a religion?

  • What does it mean to "sponsor" a religion?

  • Does displaying the ten commandments of Moses constitute crossing the line between government and religion?

  • Does anyone except evangelicals care or is this something we must all come to grips with?

I think church and state relations ought to be kept seperate.

keep in mind that anything I say may not necessarily be my finalized point of view. There is no final view, and there never will be because it is all dependant upon other factors. I am constantly changing with the progression of the discussion so please take nothing I say too hard and everything with a grain of salt. Consider it nothing more than a proposition that may either be true or false.

I don't believe anything as pliable as electronic communication could ever be assumed written in stone. Hopefully, most of our opinions have the ability for change as new information arises.

Thanks for your post!
